WTCC: BMW feiert zwei Doppelsiege in JapanBMW celebrates a double one-two in Japanese WTCC races

Andy Priaulx (GB) und Augusto Farfus (BR) haben für BMW die Läufe 21 und 22 der FIA World Touring Car Championship gewonnen. Priaulx sah im ersten Rennen in Okayama (JP) auf nasser Strecke als Sieger die Zielflagge. Hinter dem BMW Team UK Fahrer sorgte Jörg Müller (DE) vom BMW Team Germany als Zweiter für einen Doppelerfolg. Dritter wurde Chevrolet-Pilot Robert Huff (GB). Auch im zweiten Rennen des Tages waren die BMW 320si WTCC im Regen das Maß aller Dinge. Farfus münzte die Poleposition in seinen fünften Saisonsieg um, Priaulx kam als Zweiter ins Ziel und erhöhte seine Punkteausbeute beim vorletzten Rennwochenende des Jahres auf 18 Zähler. Yvan Muller (FR/SEAT) stand neben den beiden BMW Fahrern als Dritter auf dem Podium. Für BMW waren es die Doppelsiege fünf und sechs in dieser Saison.

BMW Team Germany’s Jörg Müller (DE) made it a one-two, finishing second ahead of Chevrolet driver Robert Huff (GB). In race two the BMW 320si WTCC cars again dominated proceedings in the rain, when Farfus made perfect use of pole position to score his fifth win of the season. Priaulx increased his points’ tally of the weekend to 18 by coming second. Third-placed Yvan Muller (FR/SEAT) joined the two BMW drivers on the podium. For BMW these were the fifth and sixth one-twos of the year.
