Das im belgischen Spa-Francorchamps ansässige Mühlner Motorsport Team wird auch 2010 wieder mit zwei Porsche an der FIA GT3 Europameisterschaft teilnehmen. Zum Einsatz kommt die brandneue GT3 Variante des 911ers, der GT3 R.
Mit dem Franzosen Gilles Vannelet, der 2007 die The in Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium based Mühlner Motorsport Team will again enter two Porsches in the FIA European GT3 Championship in 2010. They will be running the brand new GT3 version of the 911, the GT3 R. With Frenchman Gilles Vannelet, who won the FIA European GT3 Championship in 2007, and the German Frank Schmickler, successful in both sprint and endurance racing, the crew for one Porsche 911 GT3 R is already settled.
The team are looking for a second driver for the other GT3 R to partner Dr. Jürgen Häring, one of the quickest „Bronze“ drivers on the grid and a regular for Mühlner Motorsport in 2010 in the Porsche Sports Cup and the ADAC GT Masters series. The ideal partner should be not only quick but reliable because it is essential to score points in every race to be in the overall reckoning in the FIA European GT3 Championship.
With races at Silverstone (GB), Brünn (Czech Republic), Oschersleben (Germany), Paul Ricard (France), Portimao (Portugal) and Enna Pergusa (Italy) the FIA European GT3 Championship calendar once again takes in some of Europe’s best tracks in 2010.
„In contrast to 2008 and 2009, this year we have been able to put our deal together very early for the 2010 FIA European GT3 Championship. Discussions are well underway for the final driver and we expect to be able to make an announcement soon. We are planning on being in the points on a regular basis and hope to be competitive in both the drivers‘ and teams‘ championships“ said Bernhard Mühlner.
Alongside the 2010 FIA European GT3 Championship, Mühlner Motorsport will also be running in the Porsche Sports Cup, the UAE GT Championship and the ADAC GT Masters as well as at the Spa 24hrs.
Their first official European event of 2010 will be the FIA „Balance of Performance“ tests at Paul Ricard in Southern France on 21st and 22nd February. The team will by then have already done two meetings in the Middle East in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.Le team Mühlner Motorsport, dont les installations sont situées à Spa-Francorchamps, en Belgique, prendra de nouveau part au championnat européen FIA GT3 en cette année 2010. L’occasion de voir monter en piste la nouvelle variante GT3 de la célèbre 911, la GT3 R.
Avec le Français Gilles Vannelet, champion d’Europe FIA GT3 en 2007, mais aussi l’Allemand Frank Schmickler, spécialiste des sprints comme des épreuves d’endurance, la première des deux Porsche 911 GT3 R Mühlner affiche déjà complet.
Pour ce qui est du second bolide, un équipier doit encore être trouvé au Dr. Jürgen Häring, l’un des pilotes Bronze les plus rapides du plateau, qui disputera également la Porsche Sports Cup et l’ADAC GT Masters pour le compte de Mühlner Motorsport cette saison. La solution idéale passe par un pilote à la fois rapide et fiable, qui pourrait aborder avec sérieux le championnat européen FIA GT3, en engrangeant des points lors de chaque course, afin de briller au classement général.
Avec Silverstone (Grande-Bretagne), Brno (Tchéquie), Oschersleben (frontière avec l’ancienne Allemagne de l’est), le Paul Ricard (France), Portimao (Portugal) et Enna Pergusa (Sicile), la compétition continentale FIA GT3 s’apprête une nouvelle fois à visiter des circuits réputés partout en Europe.
« Contrairement à 2008 et 2009, nous sommes en mesure de présenter très tôt notre package pour le championnat européen FIA GT3, explique Bernhard Mühlner. Les négociations battent d’ailleurs leur plein pour ce qui concerne la nomination du quatrième pilote, et nous sommes certains que nous serons rapidement en mesure d’en dévoiler l’identité. Notre objectif cette année est de marquer des points le plus régulièrement possible, et nous espérons pouvoir briller tant dans la hiérarchie des pilotes que celles des teams. »
Outre cet engagement dans le championnat européen FIA GT3, Mühlner Motorsport envisage de prendre part cette année à la Porsche Sports Cup, au championnat GT des Emirats Arabes Unis, à l’ADAC GT Masters, ainsi qu’aux 24 Heures de Spa-Francorchamps.
Au niveau européen, la première échéance sera le test de « Balance de Performances » organisé les 21 et 22 février sur le circuit du Paul Ricard, dans le sud de la France, tandis qu’au Moyen Orient, deux courses ont déjà été disputées sur les tracés de Dubaï et Abu Dhabi.FIA GT3 Europameisterschaft bereits gewonnen hat und dem sowohl in Sprint- als auch Langstreckenrennen erfolgreichen Deutschen Frank Schmickler steht die Mannschaft für den einen Porsche 911 GT3 R bereits komplett fest. Mit Silverstone (Großbritannien), Brünn (Tschechien), Oschersleben in der Magdeburger Börde, Paul Ricard (Frankreich), Portimao (Portugal) und Enna Pergusa (Italien) stehen auch 2010 wieder beliebte Rennstrecken in ganz Europa auf dem Kalender der FIA GT3 Europameisterschaft.
Neben dem Engagement in der FIA GT3 Europameisterschaft wird Mühlner Motorsport 2010 auch im Porsche Sports Cup, der UAE GT Championship und dem ADAC GT Masters sowie bei den 24-Stunden von Spa-Francorchamps antreten.
Erster offizieller Einsatztermin in Europa sind am 21. und 22. Februar 2010 die „Balance of Performance“ Fahrten im Süd-Französischen Paul Ricard.
